Russian Millet Soup

1 cup millet
3 quarts water
2 stalks celery
2 potatoes, coarsely chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 large onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 - 2 Tablespoons chicken-style seasoning
small amount of tomato juice for color (optional)

Combine millet with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and cook until tender.
